I have always wanted music to mean so much, to do so much more: a shared sonic experience looking together into the future and working to change it.  Will there be some time left for that after all?  Maybe.  But what I’ve got right now is a piece I wrote a few months back that pretty well captures my thoughts and feelings about the times we are in, the times that lead us here, and what’s ahead.  A few of you have heard it, many have not.  Perhaps you find something in this sound for yourself, or some shared direction for us together.  That vastly challenging future we’ve been warning about for many years, it’s here.  And it’s been here for a while.  In the part of my life where I was mainly an artist, I learned that music doesn’t really provide us with the leadership we need.  But the sonic memories that we build and share, these are long range beacons guiding the weave of a world we would prefer.
